Finally an introduction...

Well, hi everyone! I was hoping to have an update to the housing situation before getting onto what this blog was supposed to be about, but that's taking too darn long, so I figured I'd get on with it! Smile

Well, I'm Traci! I'm 34 and a stay at home mom of my two sweet (most of the time  Wink  ) kiddos. My kids are my most important people in my life. They are my everything. I love them more than life itself. But I know most moms say that, can't help it's true. I've got a BS in Human Resource Management that I've never used. I'm a terrible housekeeper, but I LOVE staying home with my family. I wish I could stay home and take care of everyone forever, even when they aren't here. Volunteering, helping in school, and eventually getting that housekeeping stuff down LOL! And when grandkids come around taking care of them. But it's inevitable if we want the fun stuff we want  I'll have to work. Hopefully I'll be able to get a job subbing at school so I can have flexible hours and still mostly take care of everyone.  I'm the type of person who loves helping people. Donating, volunteering, anything helping the under-privileged. I don't do it enough, but hopefully I'll get time to do that too. I love being crafty, though it doesn't come easily to me and I frustrate the heck out of myself trying. It usually comes out good, but not without a lot of sweat and tears LOL! I am a girly girl who loves pink and sparkles and have an unhealthy obsession with nail polish!  Wink  I am a very sensitive, loving person who people greatly misunderstand, and don't try to get to know the real me. I guess that's it about me. I'm sure I'll get into these specifics more as the days go on.

Here I am! August 2011, in Montego Bay, Jamaica at Sandals for our 5th wedding anniversary! So glad we took the time to do something super special just the 2 of us! This was our last day there. 10 am drinking, so we could get one last drink in before our flight!

I'm married to my husband of 5 1/2 years, Jeremiah. We've known each other since we were 12. When people ask how we met, he likes to say "well, I decided to go to 6th grade one day..." To be honest, I love when he says that LOL! He is a supervisor for UPS, which thoroughly sucks, but it's a good paying job with good benefits. He's a great guy. Very much wants to be the protector and provider for our family. That is wonderful! But it hurts me that he puts so much stress on himself, and doesn't take time for himself. Anyway, he is super smart and fun, but responsible and mature. He hides his feelings so much, and is much more caring and loving than most people would ever know. He loves his kids and is the silly one most of the time and they love that.

Here he is during the same trip! This was on our actual anniversary before our anniversary dinner.

Our first baby, our sweet baby boy, Riley Jeremiah, hence the RJ in my title. We don't really call him that, but always thought it would be cool if he liked it when he was older! He was born May 11, 2004. I think maybe my next blog will be about him coming into the world! Anyway, he is a typical, wonderful, 7 year old now! He loves soccer and swimming, beyblades, Ninjago, and anything boy related LOL! He is smart and can do what he puts his mind to, but is a little lazy with school, like his mommy was (oops). Hopefully when I get my stay at home gig under control I can help him focus a little more.

Here he is. My sweet baby boy on the day he started 2nd grade, Sept 2011.

Next is my pretty girl, Liliana Helena. We pronounce it Lily-AHna, not Anna and it's Hil-A-nuh, not Helen-A. She was born April 30, 2007. We call her Lily mostly. Helena is after my Great Aunt Helen. I loved her so much and have missed her every day since she passed when I was in 2nd grade. Thinking of her spirit kept me sane when I was pregnant with Lily and very, very sick. I felt her spirit help me through while I was so sick, so I thought it appropriate that I honor her by using her name for Lily. I didn't use it exactly, but I thought Helena sounded better with Liliana and my gramma told me her friends used to call her Helena.  Smile  Lily is a typical girl. She loves makeup and jewelry and nail polish and dresses! A girl after my own heart LOL! She is also rough and tumble with the boys too! She'll be wrestling with them or playing transformers while wearing a pretty dress and tiara! She LOVES to dance. She doesn't stop moving or talking most of the day! She plays soccer, but hasn't quite decided how she feels about it. She loves it one minute, then hates it the next.

Here is my beautiful fashionista on her first day of pre-school in Sept 2011.

I guess the point of my blog is just for me. Like a diary of my life. A place to vent, be excited, sad, anything! Originally I wanted it to be a crafting blog. But now I see that it will be wonderful to have a place to tell my story. If for nothing more than posterity for me to look back on. If people actually want to read it that's great! I admit, I'm not witty or clever like a lot of the bloggers out there. I try to be, but it usually falls flat. I'm just an honest, open person who wants to share what's in my head wanting to get out! I'll still put my crafty stuff in, I love sharing the things I make and do, but it's not going to be just about that, it'll be about my life!

And for anyone wondering about the house, it *looks* like it's going well with another mortgage company. Not trying to get our hopes up too much, but it's looking good. We HAVE to close by February 5th, so it'll be decided one way or another by then! 2 more weeks and we could be in our new home!Smile

Have a wonderful weekend! Swim meet for Riley tomorrow then hopefully getting some more things packed for our hopefully eventual move! Smile
