Now for an update on the new house. We've been working with Erica Schneider at Homestead Financial in Baldwinsville at the recommendation of my sister (who works with our realtor). She has been great! When this all started she didn't think she would be able to help us, but she told me some helpful information that Quicken hadn't told us. With that fixed she personally went to her underwriter and discussed the situation with her and the underwriter said it was ok! Today we are just waiting for the credit reporting agencies to prove that a mistake is fixed and we should be good to go! Whereas Quicken pulled our report every time they wanted to know something, she has gone out of her way to NOT do that and ding our report. She just requested a supplement which proves it, but isn't the whole report! Now there is someone who is professional and thinking of the client! No closing date as of yet, but the sellers need to close on their new house by February 5th and need us to close on or before that in order to buy it, so we shall see.
We actually did receive a call today from Quicken's customer relations department in regards to our complaint, but we missed the call. I'm fairly impressed they called, and I'm anxious to see what they say. I'll update with that when we talk to them.
That's all the information I have so far, but it's looking positive!
So today Lily had a field trip to Walmart of all places LOL! When I got the permission slip I almost fell out of my chair laughing! It seemed so silly! And of course I thought of Babycenter's Bargain Hunter's Board and what they would think of it. I had to chaperone, just to see what they would do LOL! I actually didn't end up going, but sent Jeremiah. It ended up being kind of cool! They showed the kids all the behind the scenes stuff. The eye doctor, hair salon, bank, customer service, deli, bakery. They even let them go into the freezers/coolers and help stock some milk LOL! Then they went looking through the toys and finally into a back stock room to see all the extra stock they have and to a break room where they got to each frost a cupcake and put sprinkles on it! They even made them little name tags!
Oh, I almost forgot WOOHOO GIANTS!!!! Last night was the Giants/49ers championship game. The funny thing about this is that the Giants are my team (well, the Giants and the Colts) and the 49ers are Jeremiah's team. It was fun rooting against each other. I told him all week he underestimates my teams, cause I'm a girl, and I was right! I rock and the Giants are going to the Super Bowl!

I guess that's all for today! I don't want to forget that I already have a post that I want to write about tomorrow, so I'm noting it here. It's a very serious topic and I really need to talk about it.
And to end, these are the things we are thankful for today!
Today Riley is thankful for:
1. Mommy, daddy, Lily, my friends and myself.
2. Our new house that we are probably buying. [Seriously we better get this thing]
3. My toys.
4. The fireplace in our new house. [Did I mention we better get this?! Even thought the fireplace is filled in and only for decoration LOL!]
5. That I got to stay home and have a half day today. [His "belly hurt" this morning. I'm not entirely buying it, but it's hard to argue when he is so insistent and won't get ready to go.]
Lily is thankful for:
1. My new towel ("but daddy uses it, and I don't want him to" in a pouty face). [It isn't new, she got it for her birthday in April LOL!]
2. You (mommy).
3. Our new couch. [Also not new, we've had it a year LOL!]
4. Eating every day
5. Her Walmart Field Trip [What the heck? A Walmart field trip? Yes, they really did. I'll elaborate in a minute]
6. Sleep [A girl after my own heart LOL!]
I am thankful for:
1. My babies, as always.
2. Things seems to be going well with the new house now.
3. An unexpected brownie that you forgot about LOL!
4. That I finally listed our double stroller for sale!
5. That our biggest problem right now is whether or not we will get a 2nd house.
Jeremiah is thankful for:
1. His coworker and friend, Carlos, for keeping him sane at work.
2. Winter snow to slide on. [It's sled dammit, not slide LOL! It's a constant disagreement here!]
3. The game of basketball to have fun.
4. Cupcakes because they are yummy and fun to eat.
5. Lily falling asleep on me, because it makes me smile. [Last night while watching the 49ers-Giants game, Lily was really into watching it with Jeremiah (he was a little surprised that his daughter was into it and his son couldn't care less LOL) and she fell asleep laying with him on the couch. I wish I had gotten a picture of it.]
Have a great week!
