I honestly have no idea what to write about today! I could write about my annoyance at the IRS, I guess. But otherwise nothing else that I can think of. It's late and I'm about to fall asleep. But I still want to write something, so I can record our thankfuls!
For years I've been doing our taxes in January as soon as we can and there has never been a problem. We've always gotten our money refunded the last week of January. This year, the first problem was everyone had their forms available late. Then I got the forms done right away when I got those, but by that time it was supposed to be refunded on February 1st. Shouldn't be a problem. Of course this year, the year we need to money for the closing costs on the house, the IRS has problems and our date was pushed back to February 7th. That is NOT ok at all, because we NEED to close on our house by February 5th.
Normally I wouldn't care, but, as I said, this year we need the money ASAP! The reason I am annoyed with the IRS specifically, is because I've been told by people that they filed their taxes 6 days after us and are scheduled to get the deposit 2 weeks before us. And people who filed the same day who already got theirs. How is that fair? Does fate not want us to get this house? One thing after another causing problems. Just when I fix a problem, a new problem pops up.
Oh well, I just hope the date gets bumped back up. Trying to be thankful, so here's our thankful list.
Riley is thankful for (yep he couldn't stop at just 5
) :1. Lily, because she's really, really funny.
2. Our cats.
3. That I got to buy lunch at school!
4. Me, Cody S. and Cody L. got to draw together at school.
5. The library teachers, because they let me and my class get books.
6. That we got to have popcorn tonight!
7. I am thankful for Dynamite the song on my mp3 player.
Lily is thankful for:
1. Popcorn! [They've been begging for a movie night.]
2. I got to watch She-Ra.
3. I got to make cards and pictures today.
4. Brushing my teeth.
5. Dancing at my dance class.
I am thankful for:
1. I got some of the living room packed up!
2. I sat down with my babies and watched a show and ate popcorn!
3. I finally got my peanut donut LOL! [The other night I stopped by the Dunkin Donuts next to Lily's dance studio and literally the only kind of donut they had was a strawberry frosted donut. What kind of DONUT store has ONE flavor?! I know it was late, but we always go there that time of night and they have plenty! Anyway, we passed another on the way home and stopped in and they had only 4 kinds! Now I was determined, so I drove out of my way to another one LOL! They didn't have it, but they did have my 2nd choice. But it didn't satisfy my craving, hence being thankful today LOL!]
4. My ambien might actually be working right now!
5. I have come to appreciate the musical Annie LOL!
Jeremiah already went to work and didn't tell me what he was thankful for. :-)
